Kick-starting Summer! ☀ Update + Favourite healthy snacks! ♡

I can't believe this - but the day has finally came... I have finished all my exams and Summer has officially started for me!!! ♡♡♡ 

I have been MIA for the past couple weeks and I basically have been feeling like a living zombie because of my exams LOL - living on 3 hours of sleep everyday was a total nightmare but I am glad to say that those days are finally over! (Thank Goodness)

Since today is the first day of summer (for me!), I thought it would be a great idea to start off with a Summer checklist ♡ I am basically just writing down the things that I would love to do and achieve this Summer ☀ This idea was inspired by the Tone it Up girls and it is such a great way to start off the holidays by envisioning how you would want it to be like ♡

This Summer, I have made the decision that I am going to try switching up my lifestyle by eating clean and exercising to make sure I sweat from time to time ☀ I recently came across the Tone it Up Bikini Series, which is basically an 8 week fitness plan that gets you and your body ready for the Summer! ♡ I don't think I have ever felt so inspired to be healthy before but the Tone it Up community is amazing. If you search #TIU on instagram, you would see so many girls out there also following this lifestyle plan and living a girly, healthy, yummy lifestyle ♡ Although I have not been sticking strictly to the Bikini Series plan because of my exams, I have been trying to eat as healthy as I can and this has made me feel really great about my body, knowing that I am feeding it with things that it wants :)

I thought it would be great as well for me to kickstart the Summer with a few super yummy healthy snack/ lunch ideas ♡ I have been eating these non-stop lately and can honestly say that they are the perfect food to snack on on a Summer day!

1☀ Peanut Butter and Banana Toasts 
I basically have been eating these for breakfast, lunch and dinner hahaha! They are just so easy to make! You just need to throw 2 slices of toasts in the toaster, spread some peanut butter on them along with some banana slices and they are all good to go! (Into your stomach :P)

2☀ Greek yoghurt with granola and fresh fruits
This is basically a fresh fruit yoghurt that I have been ridiculously addicted to for the longest time and they are sold at my university's café. Even though I bought it from the café, you can basically make your own because it is just greek yoghurt, fresh fruits and granola ♡ This yoghurt tastes so good in my opinion that on days when I am contemplating whether to attend that 10 o'clock lecture or not, this is what motivates me to get out of my bed and get dressed and get my lazy butt to school lol!

3☀ Mango and Chicken Tortilla wrap
I first found the recipe of this yummy chicken wrap on the Lauren Conrad website but since I didn't have all the ingredients listed in her recipe, I basically just seasoned my chicken with salt and pepper, pan fried it and threw it inside my tortilla wrap with some mangoes and basil ♡ It tasted delicious and kept me full for a really long time!

4☀ Spicy Avocado Toast
This toast is again one of my favourites because it is so yummy and so easy to make! I first smash up half an avocado with my spoon and then once it's all smashed up I add a bit of grounded garlic and pepper into my avocado and mix it all up. You then just have to spread the avocado mixture onto your toast and there you go! ♡

5☀ Apples with peanut butter!
I am sure those of you who are into fitness have definitely tried this 'snack' before! You basically just have to slice up your apples and dip then into peanut butter as a sauce! Sounds weird I know but it tastes wonderful hehe! ♡

  2. Ooooh I make a similar avocado toast all the time, it's one of my favorites!! I like to sprinkle a little cheese on top as well! I will have to try your other suggestions too :)

  3. I got on that Apples and Peanut Butter snack trend too! I like how you focused on snacking...it's SO MUCH MORE manageable for me because I am a total light eater.

    1. Same for me! I can't eat much in one go - but I get hungry really easily as well! So snacks are perfect because they are in small portions and I can eat them throughout the day! <3
